I am installing the security patch for our long-awaited Galaxy Note 8 in July 2021.
I’ve already heard from overseas that the July security update for Galaxy Note 8 will be distributed at the end of June, but it was distributed a month later in Korea.
The deployed firmware update version is N950NKSU5DUG1 and varies slightly from carrier to carrier.

Included in the Galaxy Note 8 security update
- Security Update dated July 1, 2021
- Stabilization code related to device security
That’s not a kind explanation as expected.
It is said that stabilization code related to terminal security has been applied with security update dated July 1st.

Update support for Galaxy Note 8 coming to an end
The Galaxy Note 8 receives updates quarterly.
This is the third time this year with a security update in July following a security update in January and a security update in April.
Given the timing of the launch of the Galaxy Note 8, no more official updates after expected once more.
iPhone 7 has released at the same time, will extend its life span for another year if it receives iOS 15 updates this year…
It’s still a fairly usable Galaxy Note 8, which is a sad.
