Second Update for My Xiaoxin Pad 2022 (Japanese ROM, Now a Lavie Tab T10): 102K1_S201011_250228_NEC

I’ve just installed the second update since flashing the Japanese ROM onto my Xiaoxin Pad 2022.
This time, the update version is 102K1_S201011_250228_NEC.

Once you install the Japanese ROM on the Xiaoxin Pad 2022, it’s no longer the Xiaoxin Pad 2022 but rather the Lavie Tab T10, which was released in Japan.

I’ve been using my Xiaoxin Pad 2022 really well for watching videos. Especially after recovering Netflix L1 certification with the Japanese ROM, it’s been fantastic.
But suddenly, it started lagging, and while the apps didn’t close, the screen would go black. I wondered if it had broken, but upon closer inspection, I saw that an update was being installed.

Although I had set the language to Korean, it was displayed in English as expected.
The 102K1_S201011_250228_NEC update was only 26MB, but the download was surprisingly slow. Given the small size, I didn’t expect any major changes.

After the update, I checked for any differences, but other than a security update, I couldn’t see anything noticeable. The security update date changed from September 5, 2024, to January 5, 2025, after the 102K1_S201011_250228_NEC update.

I tried searching everywhere to find out what was included in the 102K1_S201011_250228_NEC update, but it wasn’t easy to find information. So, I briefly turned to AI for help.
I immediately found the update information page on the Lavie website here:

Referring to this page, the release date for the 102K1_S201011_250228_NEC update is stated as March 19, 2025. I received the update just a few days later.
The included content is briefly described as improved system stability and security updates.

Since the Xiaoxin Pad 2022 was released almost three years ago, I’m not sure how much longer security updates will be provided.
I found out that the Lavie Tab T10 was released in Japan on November 17, 2022.
It seems like updates will be provided for three years, so I’m expecting two or three more updates in the future.
